British 10K London Run

06 February 2012

The British 10K London Run is a 10km road race through the heart of central London.

25,000 runners fill the streets of the nation's capital and run past many of the country's greatest landmarks including Parliament, The London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey. Match this with brass bands, an electric atmosphere and a huge amount of cheering from the never-ending rows of spectators, and you have the makings of a truly memorable day!

When does the race take place?

The 2012 event will take place at 9.25am on 8 July (just 19 days before the start of the Olympic Games!).

This is a great opportunity to take part in a fantastic running event, experience the buzz and excitement of London as the city prepares for the Olympics, and raise some much needed funds for Catch22 at the same time.

We are so proud that our runners this year include our inspirational young people, our dedicated staff and our fantastic supporters.

One Catch22 supporter, Russell Chesters says:

'I’m looking forward to the run and raising money for the young people at Catch22. I had a tough time when I left home at 16. At the time, I couldn’t trust anyone and I couldn’t find any positive help. So I want to help someone like me who is out there right now going through the same things as I did.'
