Since launching last year, Catch On has been downloaded over 1,300 times by teachers, parents and wider professionals across the country.
Following feedback, Catch22 expanded the free educational resource to include activities that are suitable for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. It launched this expanded resource for Child Exploitation Awareness Day 2024.
In this webinar, you will learn about how children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are disproportionally affected by child exploitation, and how they can be appropriately supported through early intervention in schools and via specialist support.
The webinar will cover topics including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities as a vulnerability, safety planning, early intervention work in schools, and the free Catch22 Catch On education resource. It is aimed at professionals who work with children and young people who might want to understand how children with SEND are specifically targeted by exploiters, what their support needs are, and what tools are available to provide support.
