Our approach

Operating from 10 hospitals in London and Birmingham, our experienced, specialist youth workers meet children and young people at a moment of crisis and work with them to find a positive way forward.

We provide holistic support. We consider every aspect of a young person’s life and build support around them. Trauma-informed practice is key to our work – we understand that children and young people affected by violence and exploitation have complex needs and stories. We operate a consent-based model – we will not work with a young person unless they want us to.

We also train healthcare and other professionals to better identify and support affected children and young people.

I’ve come a long way… that’s down to you. You’ve changed my mindset and now I believe I have potential. I feel like you’ve been a friend to me.
