Flexible delivery methods
- Support/Advocacy: Involving delivery of a range of support activities including giving you physical help with referral forms/face-to-face negotiations/ discussions with a wide range of other Personal Wellbeing providers including statutory service providers, attending appointments with you/taking steps on your behalf (phone-calls/ referrals).
- Support/Empowerment: Involving the direct delivery of a range of support activities working with you to understand your situation and empowering/enabling you to make positive changes to your life, self-image, and future actions.
- Advice/Guidance/Information: Your assigned Personal Wellbeing Worker will provide tailored/individualised advice to ensure you have access to a wide range of information and are well informed regarding the support available.
- Delivery/Interventions: Your assigned Personal Wellbeing Worker will involve you in the development of your action plan. Based on best practice we will develop a blended delivery approach that includes a range of one-to-one/group-work/skills training sessions to successfully understand and manage your Personal Wellbeing needs.
- Mentoring: This involves a structured, tailored and time bound intervention which will be delivered pre/post-release for SUs subject to post-release Licence/Post Sentence Service Supervision and allocated based on complexity.
Your journey with us
Your case worker will meet with you at the probation office or agreed hub on the arranged date and time. Catch22 are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within our services. You will have input into your own action plan and it will be tailored to meet you needs from a range of delivery options.
- Electronic referral: Once we receive your referral, your personal wellbeing worker will contact you to welcome you to the service, confirm your assessment appointment, identify barriers, needs or considerations to be factored into your initial appointment.
- Keeping engaged: Welcome pack sent with confirmation of initial assessment letter. We will also send you a reminder text for your assessment appointment.
- The assessment: Takes place with you face to face, within 10 days of referral from your Probation Practitioner: Your worker will complete the structured initial assessment with you This includes questions surrounding the objectives set by the Probation Practitioner and will support us in ensuring the action plan that will created for you will meet your needs.
- The action plan: Developed and agreed with you and shared and agreed with the Probation Practitioner. This will include: agreed SMART objectives and desired outcomes, list of activities, details of involved organisations, and the frequency, location and mode of contact of future activity.
- Interventions: Start as soon your action plan is approved by your Probation Practitioner and ongoing timescales agreed with them. The interventions you will be scheduled to attend will include a variety of delivery methods and activities, including: advice, guidance and information, support and advocacy, support and empowerment, mentoring and/or coaching, digital/virtual group learning, digital/virtual one-to-one learning, face-to-face group delivery, face-to-face one-to-one delivery including in-custody support and at the gate support.
- The final session: Takes place face to face and includes: feedback from you about our service, a review of outcomes, the production of an Ongoing Support Plan, including access to Personal Wellbeing Resource Hub for follow up on virtual interventions, self-study resources and directory of support services. Within five working days of final session, we will also produce an End of Service Report which is shared with your Probation Practitioner.

Frequently asked questions
Why have I been referred to your service?
You have been referred to the Catch22 Personal Wellbeing service as your probation practitioner has identified you can benefit from support in the following areas; Family & Significant Others, Emotional Wellbeing, Lifestyle and Associates and Social inclusion.
What will happen if I choose not to engage with your services?
We will have to notify your probation practitioner of this and they will discuss the implications of this further with you.
How often will I have to attend appointments with your service?
This will vary depending on the level of support required. You could be expected to do between 5 and 48 sessions depending on complexity and number of pathways you were referred onto. This will be covered in your action plan, alongside the frequency, timing and delivery method of your sessions.
Will I have to travel and will the cost of travel be covered?
We have delivery sites all across London, and where possible we will meet you at your closest site. Travel warrants will be issued by your probation practitioner for rail travel based on the amount of appointments that have been scheduled.
