About Our Alumni
Cogs AI – Mental Health Support for Neurodivergent People
Founded by Zareen Ali and Felix de Grey, Cogs AI is a mental health support app designed by neurodivergent individuals, specifically for their community. By addressing the limitations of traditional therapies for those with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and Dyslexia, Cogs AI empowers users to build self-care habits and manage overwhelming emotions.
Key achievements:
- Secured £650k in early-stage funding from Innovate UK, Bethnal Green Ventures, and The Francis Crick Institute.
- Renewed NHS contract after demonstrating a 30% improvement in mental health outcomes for users in just two weeks.
- Plans to expand to the US and dominate the neurodivergent mental health space by 2030.
SuperFi – A New Approach to Debt Management and Financial Wellness
Founded by Tom Barltrop and Nick Spiller, SuperFi helps users take back control of their finances through innovative open banking technology. By partnering with councils, utilities, and financial institutions, the app proactively supports residents in staying on top of bills and avoiding problem debt.
Key achievements:
- Raised £755k in seed funding from social impact and fintech VCs.
- Partnered with major London councils, including Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Haringey, to support residents.
- Saved users up to £1,488 annually and uncovered unclaimed benefits, empowering them to achieve financial stability.
