The second season focused on the UK’s justice sector and was presented by Catch22’s former Communications and Marketing Manager, Josie Cochrane. From developing restorative justice to reducing the impact of court delays, this series was focused on solutions which could impact every aspect of the justice sector.
Catch22 traces its roots back to the late eighteenth century, when The Royal Philanthropic Society opened homes where children in need could be trained by skilled tradesmen. Our work in public services evolved from there. For many of the statutory services we know today, they started off as ideas and then became services delivered by private and voluntary organisations such as Catch22.
In today’s episode, we are joined by Catch22’s former Chief Executive Officer Chris Wright. From his early days as a social worker to leading Catch22 through the immense changes for nearly two decades, he’s been a huge advocate for the power of social enterprises and the importance of public sector innovation. As he hands over the reins to Catch22 CEO Naomi Hulston, we discuss public services, the changes he’s seen over the years, and the future of public sector procurement.
